A GROUNDBREAKING EXPERIENCE
The Faroe Islands track is a groundbreaking and special adventure & exploration track for the students on Føroya Eftirskúli. The purpose of this track is to teach the students about the culture, history, contemporary affairs, biology and geography of the Faroe Islands. The track will be planned with creational and educational excursions on the islands of the Faroe Islands with 18 special and independent excursions, where the students are goint to visit all the islands of the Faroe Islands.
VISIT ALL 18 ISLANDS
Every island has a special experience and cultural inheritance, where we are able to focus on different developmental work, history and contemporary relations. In this track the students will get a creational and developmental experience and knowledge about the different islands.
Every excursion is planned according to the special circumstances on every island. The students will be able to plan the content of the excursions with their teachers. These excursions will be planned according to history, nature and contemporary relations on the islands.
Every excursion is expected to last about 1 to 2 days, this is included travel time.
The Faroe Islands track is on schedule every friday, so that the excursions can be planned to take place from thursday evenings, on fridays and possibly also during the weekends.
People familiar with local conditions, enthusiast people and local companies are goint to determine parts of the content of every excursion. The conditions will be planned by the leader of Føroya Eftirskúli and other staff on Føroya Eftirskúli. The security and wellbeing of the students is our primary focus on these excursions.
PURPOSE
The purpose with this track is giving the students the possibility to learn about the culture, history, contemporary conditions, biology and geography of the Faroe Islands. Therefore this is a special and diversified track, which will give the students an unforgettable and learning experience.
On every excursion we want to focus on the students development while they also solve different tasks. For example the students that are interested in filmmaking, will document all the exciting excursions. Also the students that are interested in wildlifte, farming and cooking, will be able to gain these experiences. We want our students to help out finding interesting locations to visit, in this way the students can be involved in the decision making.
Our fantastic islands have a lot to offer our students, for instance very special areas, interesting people, impressive nature, diversified wildlife, fresh supplies, own culinary culture, exciting entrepreneurships, interesting history, old traditions and a lot more. Only your imagination will set the limits.
